Curtain-Up!
If you are a school that is unable to visit Polka Theatre for financial or other difficulties, you can apply to our Curtain Up! scheme. You could receive:
- Free tickets for one of our shows in the Main House (for up to a whole year group)
- Free Q & A session with the actors or director of the show
- £100 towards your transport costs (on receipt of proof of payment)
PLUS…
- Every class that attends a Curtain Up! performance is entitled to a free hour-long drama workshop.
- The workshop(s) will be held at your school after your visit to Polka.
- Each workshop lasts one hour.
- We can fit in with your school day, so please state the time you want us to start and finish each workshop.
- Please ensure that there are no more than 30 children in one group.
- Please ensure that a member of staff is present during the workshop
- We need a large space, free of chairs and tables for the workshop. (A hall or gym is ideal, but please ensure that the group is not interrupted.)
