Polka is a registered charity that believes in the power of performance and story to unlock the potential of all children and we do that in our theatre, in schools and throughout the community.
Can you picture the excitement of tapping into the creativity and imagination that exists inside every child?
We do that at Polka every day, with plays, workshops, and community engagement; creative, playful spaces; training and mentoring. We have a broad programme designed for inspiration, creative learning and inclusion - and we reach 90,000 children each year.
We cater for rich diversity - inquiring toddlers, young people on the margins of school exclusion, children with learning disabilities, disadvantaged families, story-telling Dads – and many more. We are rooted in community but, like a pebble in a pond, our influence stretches out to the whole of the UK and beyond.
You can be a part of this.
From now until Spring 2014, every pound you give will be MATCHED pound-for-pound by a special award from Arts Council England, so please give generously.
