Hiring the Theatre

Polka Theatre is a uniquely child-centred building, within easy reach of Central London and the M25.

In the past, Polka has played to host to a wide range of private events, performances and functions: from book launches and award ceremonies, to community group meetings and local arts performances. The theatre is often hired by commercial organisations looking for a comfortable, family-friendly and accessible venue.

Spaces
There are a number of spaces available for hire including:

• the Main Theatre (capacity: up to 300 children or adults)
• the Adventure Theatre (capacity: up to 80 children or 50 adults)
• the Workshop (capacity: up to 60 children or 40 adults)
• the Exhibition Area (capacity: up to 100 children or adults)

Rates
The charge for hiring a space includes a number of staff on hand, including a theatre manager, front of house attendants and technical staff if required.

Polka offers preferential hire rates for not-for-profit organisations, and community groups based in the borough of Merton.
